I have earlier posted a blog with the similar title here. This post is my version of Should vs. must, that I realised after coming to IIIT-D. Unlike GNDEC, courses at IIITD aren’t easy going. The students ‘must‘ work here to survive. If not anything else, IIIT-D did make me learn the difference between should and must.
‘I must work, here’ because only ‘I should work’ doesn’t work at IIIT. As I ponder, I realise how this shift from ‘should’ to ‘must’ can bring a lot of change in our lives.
Changing ‘I should practice’ to ‘I must’ , would make me a lot more skillful. Changing ‘I should have green tea’ to ‘I must’ would make me healthier 😉 This not-so-big 4 alphabet word ‘must’, if adhered to, can bring really big changes. Let’s then bring ‘must‘ in our lives or rather, we must bring must in our lives. 🙂
Let’s mustify ! 😉
With no intention to write, I downloaded the WordPress app in my new phone. The app has improved a lot. The interface is a lot more friendly and smooth. As I logged in, the first page that appeared on the screen triggered in my mind a series of thoughts.
Yeah! It’s really been 5 months – a full semester and I didn’t write a word. IIIT kept me so busy or may be I kept myself so busy that I forgot to write. The love for writing, which I supposed was inherent to me, seemed to faint. I can’t let this happen because, this is the thing that makes me happy and feel lighter. So, after the seemingly-long 5 months, ‘Let’s do it, again’ ! 🙂
Stay tuned for the coming posts. 😉
So, after exploring the options of IITs and NITs(through CCMT), NSIT was the next option to explore. NSIT doesn’t conduct any test/interview post Gate and admissions are purely based on merit in Gate.
They had called the candidates who applied for admission for document verification. Yes, for mere document verification, students had to travel to Delhi. So, I and papa reached there at around 8:30 a.m in the morning. Things started 1 hour after the scheduled time of 9:30 a.m. Most of the students and guardians were not happy with this thing where everyone had to travel for document verification even when getting admission is not final. However, coming to the campus, it was big. The buildings gave a royal look. We left as soon as the verification was done. It was hectic travelling for more than 12 hours in a single day.
At the latest:
I received a call for admission from NSIT in the 5th round at July end when I was already happily settled elsewhere. 🙂
